Defining PERFECTION for human

“No one is perfect” - I’m not so sure about the origin of this philosophy, but almost everyone has long been accepting it without any argument.

I too have no comment on it, till one day, I had the following conversion with one of my friend.

IRDA: “You know, we can define perfection for human beings.”
Me: “Hmm.. how? In this case, seems you are trying to go against what so called no one is perfect.”
IRDA: “Ok, let’s see. Being imperfect is one of the attributes of human beings… Do you agree?”
Me: “I do agree that. Then?”
IRDA: “The meaning of being perfect is fulfilling certain criteria or having some kind of attributes what something/ someone is expected to have, isn’t it?”
Me: “Okay, so?”
IRDA: “By being imperfect, we have fulfilled one of the criteria of being a human being. So, we can define perfection for human beings by having an attribute of being imperfect.”

This has left me with further thoughts, so, what do you think?????

Software Review (7-zip)

တစ်ရက် linux သုံးတဲ့ colleague တစ်ယောက်က archive လုပ်ပြီးပို့လိုက်ဆိုတာ *.tar format နဲ့ ပို့လိုက်လို့ သူ့ကို unzip လုပ်ဖို့ လိုက်ရှာရင်းနဲ့ ဒီ 7-zip ဆိုတဲ့ software ကို သုံးဖြစ်သွားတယ်။

web site အများစုကနေ download လုပ်ရင် အများအားဖြင့်တော့ .zip file တွေ များပါတယ်။ အခုနောက်ပိုင်း .rar format တွေလည်း များလာတယ်။ တစ်ခါတစ်လေ အခန့်မသင့်ရင် .tar, .bz, .gzip စသဖြင့် ရလာတတ်တယ်။ extract လုပ်ဖို့ software အဆင်သင့် ရှိမနေရင် တော်တော် စိတ်ညစ်ရပါတယ်။

အခု 7-zip ဆိုတဲ့ software ရှိတော့ winzip တွေ winrar တွေကို မေ့ထားလိုက်လို့ ရပြီ။ 7-zip က GNU လိုင်စင်ဆိုတော့ winzip, winrar တို့လိုမျိုး crack ရှာမရမှာ စိတ်ပူစရာ မလိုတော့ဘူး။ ဒီ software နဲ့ extract လုပ်နိုင်တဲ့ file format တွေကတော့ 7z, ZIP, GZIP, TAR, BZIP2, RAR, CAB, ARJ, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB, LZH, SPLIT, CHM တို့ ဖြစ်ပါသတဲ့။ ပြီးတော့ 7z, zip, gzip, tar, bzip2 စတဲ့ file format တွေကို archive လုပ်လို့ ရပါတယ်။ အောက်က 7-zip ရဲ့ screenshot ပါ။

• RPM - အများအားဖြင့် red hat linux အတွက် software (linux မှာတော့ packageလို့ ခေါ်တယ်) တွေရဲ့ format

• DEB – debian linux အတွက် packages တွေရဲ့ format

• LZH - နာမည်ကြီးတဲ့ compression algorithm တစ်ခု ဖြစ်တဲ့ LZH algorithm ကို သုံးပြီး ရလာတဲ့ archive file

Software Review (Amic Email Backup)

အရင် အပါတ်က PC ပြောင်းရမယ်ဆိုတော့ Microsoft Outlook က mail တွေ အရေးကြီးတဲ့ attachment တွေကို ပြောင်းဖို့ နည်းနည်း ခေါင်းစားသွားတယ်။ Outlook ရဲ့ export/ import feature က email တွေကို ကောင်းကောင်း export လုပ်ပေးပေမယ့် attachment တွေကို export မလုပ်ပေးတော့ ခက်နေတာ Amic Email Backup ဆိုတာ သုံးလိုက်မှဘဲ အဆင်ပြေသွားတော့တယ်။ free software ဖြစ်ပြီးတော့ တော်တော်လေး lightweight ဖြစ်လို့ သဘောကျသွားတယ်။ မြန်လဲ တော်တော်မြန်တယ်။ messages, address book, settings, mail and news accounts, message rules, blocked senders lists, the signatures တွေအားလုံးကို backup လုပ်လို့ရတယ်။ အခုတော့ အရေးကြီးတဲ့ email တွေကို backup လုပ်ဖို့ ဆက်သုံးဖြစ်မှာပါ။ interface ကလည်း တော်တော် သုံးလို့ လွယ်တယ်။ one-click ဘဲ။ Amic Tools Website မှာ download လုပ်နိုင်ပါတယ်။

Software Review (Unlocker)

ဒီတစ်ပါတ်လုံး PC အသစ် ပြောင်းနေရလို့ ပို့စ် အသစ် မတင်နိုင်ဘူး ဖြစ်နေတာ။ software တွေ ပြန်သွင်းရတဲ့ ဒုက္ခကလည်း မသေးဘူး။ ပြီးတော့ အရင် လုပ်နေတဲ့ project တွေ တန်းလန်းနဲ့ programming environment ကို ပြန်ပြီး configure လုပ်ရတာ စိတ်ညစ်ဖို့ အကောင်းဆုံး အလုပ်ဘဲ။ ဒါပေမယ့် ကောင်းတာ တစ်ခုကတော့ အရင်က မသုံးဖူးတဲ့ software လေးတွေကို စမ်းသုံးကြည့်ဖူးသွားတယ်။ ခါတိုင်းဆို နေ့စဉ် လုပ်နေတဲ့ အလုပ်ကလွဲရင် တစ်ခြား software တွေကို ယောင်လို့တောင် သုံးကြည့်ဖို့ မစဉ်းစားဘူး။ တကယ်လိုလာမှဘဲ ဟိုလူ့မေး ဒီလူ့မေး google ကို မွှေနဲ့ သုံးဖြစ်သွားတာ။

USB device တွေကို eject လုပ်တော့မယ်ဆိုရင် အောက်က လိုမျိုး message ပေါ်လာရင် စိတ်အနှောင့်အယှက် ဖြစ်ရတာ လူတိုင်းလိုလို ကြုံဖူးမယ် ထင်တယ်။ အရင်တုန်းကဆို application တွေ အားလုံးလိုက်ပိတ်ပြီးလို့မှ ဒီလို ထပ်ပေါ်နေသေးတယ်ဆိုရင် စိတ်မရှည်တော့ဘဲနဲ့ ဒီအတိုင်း ဆွဲဖြုတ်ပစ်လိုက်တာ များတယ်။

အခုမှ ဒီ unlocker ဆိုတဲ့ software လေးကို တွေ့သွားတာ။ တော်တော် လေးကို အသုံးဝင်ပါတယ်။ install လုပ်ပြီးသွားပြီဆိုရင် USB device ပေါ်မှာ right click လုပ်လိုက်တာနဲ့ unlocker ဆိုတာ ကို ရွေးလိုက်ပါ။ ပြီးရင် သူပြထားတဲ့ process တွေကို “Kill Process” ဒါမှ မဟုတ် “unlock all” လုပ်လို့ပြီးသွားရင် USB ကို safely remove လုပ်လို့ ရသွားပါပြီ။

USB အတွက်ဘဲ အသုံးဝင်တာ မဟုတ်သေးဘူး။ တစ်ခါတစ်လေ file တွေ folder တွေ ကို အကြောင်းအမျိုးမျိုးကြောင့် rename လုပ်လို့မရ delete လုပ်လို့မရ ဖြစ်တယ်။ အဲဒီအခါမှာလည်း file/folder ပေါ်မှာ right click လုပ်ပြီး unlock လုပ်လိုက်ရင် အဆင်ပြေသွားပါလိမ့်မယ်။

8 random facts about myself

Saya detag oleh Hazrina to write about this topic. Also being tagged by Nurul about half a year ago. Feels like writing it only now.

1. I used to be the most talkative girl in class (till grade 7). I know some of my friends will doubt about this. =)

2. Saya tahu sikit Bahasa Melayu tapi tak pandai sangat la. Mula mula, saya takut orang kerna gelap bila saya cakap Bahasa Melayu, now some people even think I’m Malaysian. Credits go to my previous roommates who tried so hard to teach me.

3. At first, I’ve chosen to study IT just because of I was afraid to join Medic. The interest grew later. Now I’m lovin’it. (planning to had McDonalds for lunch. =D)

5. During undergraduate, I (usually with Nuha) loved to stay up to finish the whole Korean dramas almost every weekend. Don’t have any doubt for it! Can it be termed as a hobby?

6. During primary school, my handwriting was ranked as one of the worst in class. I have been scolded by almost every teacher for it (until grade 6). It’s not that I have a nice handwriting now, but compare to what is before, it brought surprises to my primary school teachers when they see my high school notes.

7. Just finished Bachelor of Computer Science few months ago.

8. Can I just write 7 facts? I don’t have a very good memory on remembering things. Owh, this is another fact, I have a problem in remembering people’s faces and names easily. It takes some time. (and I just remembered that I skipped #4)
